Swedish designers Note Design Studio projected the interior for Cafe Foam using sheer red curtains and bands of color slashing across the walls and floors.

Here is the project inspiration and description:

“We want you to create an interior design that people either love or hate and that nobody is indifferent to!” was the conditions given to us by the owner Michael Toutoungi when we started working with Cafe Foam.

There were also two other important factors while creating the design. The first was to keep certain well-known elements from the previous interior to make regulars feel right at home and the second was creating a vivid environment that made meetings easier, protected the integrity of its costumers and enhanced the eating experience. A place for everybody.

As a new bride, it was expected from me to know how to manage all the household chores. The spoilt brat that I was, I didn’t even know how to iron clothes. Yes, the expected happened I burned many of my husband’s shirts, mainly because a telephone call or a whistling pressure cooker would grab my attention. I’d leave the iron right on the garment and come back to a gaping burnt hole! The Roly Poly Iron would have saved me a lot of clothes thanks to a built-in weight mechanism.

What the added weight to the handle does, is that it rocks the iron back to a standing position, when not pressed down.

Gripping the handle triggers off the surface sensors to roll the weight within, forward. And when you release your grip from the handle, the weight gently rolls back, moving the iron to a standing position.

Roly Poly Iron…way to go!

Already introduced during the last PMA in the US, the Japanese manufacturer Olympus decided to give to the Japanese press the pleasure to discover in flesh their latest model during a nicely well organized event here in Tokyo.

Nothing we already covered of course but if was still interesting to play with the new cameras as well as discovering their accessories. But, the most “impressive” element of this press event was the 3 µTOUGH cameras frozen into a big block of ice… Funny and impressive

Tiger Lily Hobo

Like the beautiful flower that inspired its name, the Tiger Lily Hobo is a delight that catches the eye and the imagination.
